We've done a lot ...
but there's so much more to be done!
Thailand’s grill stations primarily offer Asian Blue Quails. They are called Chinese Blue Quails there. Those birds belong to the family of pheasants. They live in monogamy and have a life-expectancy of around 3-6 years. With a size of 14cm and a weight of around 45-70g they are the smallest Galliformes (chickens). They are common in India, Thailand, Indochina and South-East China.
Asian Blue Quails are extremely active animals, and just like chickens, they scratch the floor. They’re constantly looking for food. Just like other gallinaceous birds, the Quails like to bathe in the sand. This not only increases their well-being, it is also important for their feathers. Quails get fed with different kinds of seeds, fruit and vegetables. The Asian Blue Quail hen scratches a hollow for its nest and fits it out with grass. The brood usually amounts to 6-10 eggs.
